Rito Cutting Board
A cutting board with a linen basket, perfect to slice the bread, collect it and serve it on the table; an everyday object which tells a story of creativity and culture. Rito is designed by Chiara Mauri and Andrea Randazzo from Storie Design Studio for OLTRE Society. Never missing on any Italian table, bread is a quintessential symbol of conviviality, expressed also in the simple but highly meaningful gestures which accompany the ritual of sharing it. Interpreted in a contemporary key, this breadboard summarises three daily activities in one: slicing the bread, serving it on the table and preserving it for the next day. The materials chosen are pure, natural, timeless: at the end of the cutting board, made of Canaletto walnut wood, there is a bread basket in garment dyed froisse linen, easily removable and washable.
