The wool is tightly woven and slightly felted for natural water repellency, and it becomes more water resistant as it’s washed. This barrier sits atop the mattress beneath a fitted sheet.

Designed to lay between the sleeper and the sheet, it shields the mattress from moisture while preserving the natural breathability of the wool. The barrier uses wool sourced from a co-op of small sheep farmers in the western United States, with a GOTS-certified organic option from New Zealand.
